Embodied Notes is an installation centered on the lived lucid traces of cold-shock flux — moments in which immersion in open water sharpens perception, restores a heightened sense of presence, and renews relations with the surrounding world.
The work unfolds as an open, reconfigurable system composed of interrelated modules drawn from earlier and ongoing series, including En:Clave (2022), Azul: En [Sur] Clave: Baby Blues (2025), Kiwi Sets with The Sound of Kiwis and Butterflies (2024), Pequeño Concierto [Hörkabinett] (2025), CIWAY / Geografía Errante, and Totally. New. (2026).
These elements appear as instrumental sculptures, sound-performative objects with QR-based sonic extensions, lacquered organic structures, experimental drawings, and reconfigurable image-objects. Across these components, perception becomes material: sound, image, and gesture circulate as embodied traces rather than fixed forms.
Instrumental sculptures from the En:Clave / Lines & Loops series function as sound-activated bodies, activated through custom-made sticks and performance actions, carrying embedded memory of field-recorded environments and travel routes across Latin America and Europe.
Works from Kiwi Sets and Pequeño Concierto [Hörkabinett] unfold as ecological micro-scores in which organic and constructed materials form hybrid habitats, combining fragile matter, sound, and temporal transformation.
Within this constellation, CIWAY operates as a reconfigurable painterly system: layered, displaced, and open to multiple spatial readings, functioning as both image and environmental structure.
Drawing-based works on transparent paper develop as amoebic, mutable traces related to the CIWAY system. These remain open to accumulation and reconfiguration as part of the installation’s temporal unfolding.
Rather than presenting fixed compositions, Embodied Notes generates a field of mutable relations — a space in which perception, memory, and materiality remain in continuous transformation.
