CIWAY [Untitled]
2026
India ink and acrylic on canvas
Two panels, 30 × 40 cm each
CIWAY is extended and part of Geografía Errante, a body of work developed through processes of Sur[real]isation.
The forms in this piece evoke aqueous landscapes and amoeba-like bodies emerging from memories of immersion — moments in which the shock of cold water triggers an adrenaline response, bringing body and mind into a heightened lucid state. The painting does not depict that experience directly; rather, it functions as its trace or residue.
Organic yet subtly cyborg in character, the forms oscillate between sensation and image, embodiment and abstraction.
CIWAY [Untitled] explores the meta-image and the mediality of painting as an empirical process. Though materially flat, the work operates as an extension of lived experience. Its two panels are slightly displaced, allowing the piece to remain open to multiple configurations, perceptions, and modes of installation.
