SLOW WAVE
A participatory platform for art, nature, and climate
Parallel to her own artistic practice, Juliana Herrero initiated the Slow Wave non-profit project in 2021, fostering interstitial artistic encounters through open inclusion. Rather than a traditional curatorial endeavor, Slow Wave is a theme-driven, collaborative platform that constructs rhizomatic connections, exploring nature, climate, and relational artistic practices.
The project unfolds through micro-actions, presenting, documenting, and archiving video works as well as hybrid methodologies. It has been realized in enclosed and open art spaces, as well as remote outdoor sites, and is documented across press releases and archives.
