Stainless steel, brass (240 × 120 × 75 cm)
playing sticks
This is the key piece that structures the score of FUGA N22, conceptually, spatially time, and sound specific.
It synthesises these routes of raw sound matters that are building up the sound backdrops and are translated into two dimensional objects that rotate and can be played as instruments. Intersectional scores are the lineage evolutionary pieces from this anchoring one, evolving through geometrical transformations, which are shaping these original backdrops conceptually into elevations in the space as amplitude of sound — bent and shaped from brass and stainless steel
The artist performs original sound sequences on the objects using custom-made sticks, activating the memory embedded within each form.
„These sculptural instruments function both as fragments of personal experience and as vessels of transformation, reinterpreting memory in the present through sound.“ excerpt of a text for En : Clave (edition) by art historian Isabel Pedevilla.
