Series Lines & Loops
In this work, the artist explores dimensions of space and time on a musical level.
During her travels through Latin America and Europe, she collected natural ambient sounds from different locations. These routes are later transformed into objects — bent and shaped from brass or stainless steel — and installed from the ceiling as autonomous sound sculptures.
The artist performs original sound sequences on the objects using custom-made sticks, activating the memory embedded within each form. These sculptural instruments function both as fragments of personal experience and as vessels of transformation, reinterpreting memory in the present through sound.
The installation allows Juliana Herrero to reframe space and time through lived sound objects and contemporary compositions.
