2003 Photographic Transformations

Based on frozen moments of the "Danaid", Rodin's sculpture

Architecture Class Städelschule 2003

Models as tools and artefact. Experimental approach based on spatial experiments coming from a research on Rodin's sculptural work, the capture of the motion on his work, reconfiguration of the bodies and its related work with frozen moments: photography and models as a working tools. Photography as arresting time. It begins with mapping techniques and translate the materials through abstraction processes into new constructions in third and four dimension, dealing with "cuts" and "gaps" to create new topographies, suggesting the reconfiguration of spatial bodies. It is used 3D rotation, translation, parts reconnections, introducing as well the notion of interface.
